Met on arrival at BIA and transferred through the busy traffic of Colombo's metropolis and through the meandering coastline road until you reach CLUB VILLAS, south of Bentota...

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel

Today, you will visit the local market known as the "Pola" in local terms, where you will buy a range of fresh veggies and fruit, meat items, and all spices required to make your gourmet food!

Return to the hotel and after a short break and freshening up proceed to the kitchen to start out on your culinary conquest of Sri Lankan food!
In the evening you can enjoy a demonstration by the chefs of Club Villas on the vast and varied ingredients that form the Sri Lankan kitchen.

Day 3

After breakfast, the group will divide into 2 different batches and each batch will have one mentor who will guide you through your paces, in the art of Sri Lankan cookery...
Spend the day sampling your cookery efforts in between learning the clever art of Sri Lankan cuisine.

Day 4

After breakfast, today you will be taught how wide and varied the Sri Lankan sweetmeat kitchen is. There will be village women who will assemble at club villas and show you how they prepare kavun, kokis, athiraha, mung kavun halape, aasmi, milk rice jaggery hoppers and a whole host of other sweetmeats from scratch.

Afternoon, excursion to Galle... The historical city and an UNESCO World Heritage Site too

This morning after breakfast you will have a full day of learning how to make a traditional Sri Lankan "Rice and Curry" Meal, with a well known lady, who's been in the culinary business for a long time, and is also a celebrated caterer, Beryl.

After breakfast this morning, you have two options...

• Spend the entire day relaxing on the beach/by the pool and working on that tan as you sip an ice cool lime juice...
• Visit Pinnawela, Asia's only Elephant Orphanage, a site for sore eyes! Should you opt for the second choice...

Day 7

After breakfast this morning, you have two options...

• Spend the entire day relaxing on the beach/by the pool and working on that tan as you sip an ice cool lime juice...
• Visit Yala National Wild Life Sanctuary, the dry zone of Sri Lanka!
