Day 1

On arrival in Sri Lanka you will be escorted to the car park for your transfer to Kandalama Hotel - 3 hour journey to the famous eco-friendly hotel that has won the prestigious Green Globe award!!
On arrival in Kandalama you will be greeted by ladies dressed in traditional saree bearing a "nelum" (lotus) flower and a cold towel. Wear off the tiredness with a quick dip in one of the cool freshwater swimming pools that surround the hotel or have a short nap to refresh yourself after the long journey!!

Optional excursions which could be organized at the hotel directly by contacting the reception staff;
1. Get ready for the Jungle Trek - an interesting walk into the jungles surrounding the Kandalama tank, where you will be able to see several species of birds and pre-historic caves which date back to the 1st century BC. A hat, bottle of water and a stout stick are recommended for this journey (you could pick up the stick from the jungle). Return to the hotel.
2. Take a conducted tour of the areas around the hotel and observe how they preserve the natural balance and ecology of the area, how they re-cycle their used water and waste.
3. Elephant ride around Kandalama tank

Day 2

This morning before breakfast, proceed to your pre allocated spot where you will meet your 'balloon man'
Take a tour of the surrounding areas and vicinity of Kandalama, Sigiriya Rock and Dambulla in general, in a hot air balloon...!!! With a bottle of sparkling wine for you to celebrate on air...!!!
Return to the hotel
Breakfast, partake of a scrumptious buffet which will be laid out for you. The cuisine in Kandalama has won several awards, and the standards and service are of a very high level.
After your enchanting and rather 'high' morning proceed to Kandy
On arrival sightseeing of the town of Kandy with a possible visit to the Dhaladha Maligawa, the sacred temple of the tooth, and then check into your hotel
Dinner and overnight at The Earls Regency Hotel 4* Kandy

Day 3

Early morning leave the hotel with a packed breakfast, proceed to Knuckles Mountain Range...
Hike into the mountains, trek conducted by an experienced guide, which will lead you to some spectacular views to say the least...!
The Knuckles Mountain Range lies in central Sri Lanka just north-east of the city of Kandy. The range takes its name from a series of recumbent folds and peaks in the west of the massif which resemble the knuckles of clenched fist when viewed from certain locations in the Kandy district.
Return to Kandy
Dinner and overnight at The Earls Regency Hotel 4* Kandy

Day 4

Breakfast
Leave for Hatton...!
The scenery is breathtaking as you drive on mountainous roads amidst tea gardens and cascading waterfalls. Visit a working tea factory en route and watch the process of complete tea making.
Situated in the heart of the tea growing region of Sri Lanka is fondly named "little England" a beutiful little town which has a very strong British influenced architecture. On arrival in Hatton check into your 'hotel'
Rest of the day at leisure
Dinner and overnight at The Tea Trails Bungalows Hatton.(the epitome of luxury living in the hills)!!

Day 5

Leave for the south west coast of Sri Lanka...
En route enjoy some adrenalin pumping 'white water rafting' down the Kelani River at Kittulgala...!!
Lunch at The Rafters Retreat Kittulgala
After your session of white water rafting have a trek to the Beli Lena Caves, prehistoric caves!
Leave Kittulgala and proceed to your beach hotel along the south west coast from Colombo to Bentota.
Drop off at a selected beach hotel of your choice.
