Day 2

After an early breakfast proceed to Singharaja Forests for a trek...
Sinharaja Forests Reserve is one of the least disturbed and biologically unique lowland rainforests now remaining in Sri Lanka. This forest covers an extent of approximately 11187 ha. From east to west, the length of the forest is about 21 km. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1989. It is Sri Lanka's first natural reserve to earn this esteemed distinction.
This forest is situated in the South West lowland wet zone of the Country. It spans over the administrative districts of Ratnapura, Galle, and Matara. Sinharaja forest consists of a series of continuous ridges, aligned approximately in an east west direction between the tributaries of the Kalu Ganga in the North and the Gin Ganga in the South.
There are four main routes of access to Sinharaja. The Kalawana-Weddagala road from the West, the Rakwana - morning side estate road from the North, from East the Hiniduma, Neluwa road from the South - West and the Deniyaya-Pallegama road from the South-East.

Day 3

After breakfast this morning leave for the South Eastern Part of Sri Lanka
Proceed to Kataragama
On arrival sightseeing of the town of Kataragama
One of the main attractions of Kataragama is the Kataragama Devalaya. One of Sri Lanka's revered holy places where Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims visit on religious pilgrimage. It is a large Complex with the `Mahadewala' - Main Hindu shrine being the most important place. This Shrine of God Skanda, the Hindu war God who is worshipped as the Kataragama Deviyo is venerated by pilgrims of all three religions. It is believed that King Dutugemunu the warrior king and Sinhala folk hero built a shrine here for the worship of the Kataragama God in the 2nd century BC. There is also a first century BC Buddhist Dagoba - `Kirivenhera' at this site. The annual Hindu Kataragama festival is held in July and August.

Day 4

Early morning Jeep safari to Yala National park where you can see Sri Lankan wild animals in their natural state... Inside the park you will come across wild boar, deer, leopards, elephants, bears, peacocks, flamingoes and many more animals roaming freely as nature intended them to live.

Early morning proceed on a jeep safari into Bundala Bird Sanctuary...
Return to the hotel for a late breakfast
After breakfast, you will begin your trip to Galle, the southern capital of Sri Lanka. Visit the famous Dutch ramparts in the Galle Fort with a Portuguese emblem on the southern wall. This fort now houses most of the offices of the government like the old post office, the beautiful Dutch church over 350 years old and other colonial style buildings now monumental of the
architectural patterns that prevailed in that era. Visit a lace making craft centre as well as a mask making centre. These wooden masks are used in various ceremonies and festivals in Sri Lanka. After sightseeing of Galle you will be taken to a beach hotel of your choice along the coast from Galle to Colombo
