Knuckles - නකල්ස්
The Knuckles Range is a protected forest and mountain range, home to wild buffalo, wild boar, the black-naped Hare, jackals, endemic Toque Macaque and purple-faced leaf monkey. Fishing cats, mouse deer and ‘legendary’ black leopard have also been seen.
PM: Night Safari through the Knuckles Mountain Range: Part jeep ride and part on foot, this evening safari begins at 4.00pm and takes you along the edges of mountains blanked by tea and deep into the forests bordering the Knuckles Mountain Range. Night vision goggles will help you spot some of the wildlife; the range is home to 20 species of amphibians and over 130 species of birds too.
